Are You Ready…Don’t Get Left Behind

How does one get left behind?

Not being ready, not being prepared. This also goes for Heaven. If you say, I’m a good person, I give to the poor and I treat people right and that’s your basis for assuming you are ready for Heaven, then you’re not ready and it is inevitable that you would be left behind to endure the tribulation without a major change in your thoughts, perception and realization that you can’t be ready on your own, none of us can. We all needed Jesus shed blood on the cross as the pure, eternal payment for our sins.

“In fact under the Law almost everything is cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness [neither release from sin and its guilt, nor cancellation of the merited punishment].”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9‬:‭22‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We were all born in sin that was passed down to us from Adam. Adam and Eve listen to the serpent in the Garden and allowing him to deceive them, they disobeyed God and ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and their eyes became open to sin.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God is a righteous judge and He had to pass sentence on sin, condemning sin and those who violate His commands through sin, but He loves us so much and created us to live forever with Him, so after passing sentence on sin, He Himself came down to earth wrapped in flesh, in the form of His own Son Jesus, lived a sinless life that we were unable to live in the flesh and took our sins upon Himself, dying on the cross in our place for our sins.

“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬-‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God didn’t hold back on His pursuit in reconciling us back to Himself. Jesus paid the cost for our salvation and forgiveness of sins on the cross and now the ball is in our court, we have a clear path to salvation, but it’s up to us to realize that we are sinners in need of God’s forgiveness. We cannot get to or inherit eternal life because of our good works. We needed Jesus sacrifice and we need God’s forgiveness.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Have you repented of your sins and ask Jesus to be Lord of your life? Are you wholeheartedly living for Jesus? If you were to close your eyes tonight and wake up in eternity, would your eternity be spent with Jesus or would it be in eternal damnation in the lake of fire? If you don’t truly know where you will spend eternity, you can be sure today.

Hell and the lake of fire was not created for you and I. It was created for Satan and the fallen angels that were kicked out of Heaven for their rebellion against God. God loves us, in spite of all our failures and sin and He is patiently waiting and pursuing us and drawing us to true repentance.

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭44‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Today, if you want to make a conscious decision to totally surrender your life to Christ, you must believe that God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to earth, born of a virgin and you must believe that the sins of the world were laid on Him as He died in our place on the cross and He didn’t stay dead either. He arose from the dead three days later and He (Jesus) rose with all power in His hands and He is now in Heaven where He sits beside Father God, where He ever liveth to make intercession for us.

Today, I admonish you to surrender to Christ. Pray this prayer. Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus to earth to die for my sin, please forgive me of all my sins God. Dear Jesus, come into my heart and be Lord of my life and now I thank You for saving me, in Jesus name Amen.

“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””

‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
