RAPTURE 

(The Catching Away Of The Church)

The word Rapture means to be caught up, or the catching away.

For years many of us have heard about the rapture and how Jesus would come back for the body of Christ. 

To those who haven’t read God’s word or aren’t following Christ, this may seem very far fetched and even though scripture does not actually contain the word Rapture, it does contain scripture that reference the the meaning of the word Rapture.

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

“And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

God has left us signs and warnings because he doesn’t want anyone left behind and though He has delayed Jesus coming, He truly is coming back soon and many will be unprepared because they have ignored the signs and warnings.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

The biggest lies Satan has told humanity is that we aren’t that bad and that we’re good enough by our own merits to go to Heaven, or we have plenty of time to give our lives to Christ and none of that is true. Time is ticking away and we all needed Jesus to die on the cross in our place for our sins. He paid a price He didn’t owe so that if we’ll receive His sacrifice and repent of our sins, we could have eternal life with Him.

Time is winding up and the signs of the end is before us!

“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

“and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

So many have ignored the signs, ignored the warnings and even ignored the Holy Spirit drawing them to repentance and many have ignored until it was too late and died without Christ and lifted their eyes in hell. 

If you are reading this, you are being given a chance even now to make a conscious decision to repent of your sins and make a commitment to God to live for and follow Christ. You will stand alone before God on the day of judgement to give Him an account of the life you lived and of whether you accepted Jesus sacrifice or rejected it.

You must believe that we were all born in sin and need God’s forgiveness and believe that God sent Jesus to earth, born of a virgin to lay down His life for the sins of all of humanity and you must verbally ask God to forgive your sin and ask Jesus to be Lord of your life.

“that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Don’t put off living for Christ any longer. God loves you and Jesus proved His love on the cross. You have a choice, Heaven or Hell. Don’t be left behind and don’t leave earth without a personal relationship with Jesus as Lord of your life.
