Revival Starts With Us


Over the years I’ve heard so many people say our country and even the entire world needs revival and it is so true now more than ever. So what are we doing to bring about revival? When you think about it, revival actually starts with us doing something.


A fire is not started from us acknowledging that it’s cold outside and we need a fire to get warm.  In starting a fire we need a substance to burn, such as wood, cardboard or paper and then we need a chemical that will ignite and fuel the fire.


Revival fire is started by us living repented lives to God, praying and seeking God and thirsting for His presence and influence as we declare his word and teach others his truth with a passion to win all humanity to Christ.


“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

‭‭John‬ ‭12:32‬ ‭KJV‬‬


 In Christ our love and compassion for a dying world that is in desperate need of Jesus and our putting action to our desires to see people saved by actually fasting and praying and telling God, use me and then allowing him to use you and walking in obedience and humility as he does use you. 


Billy Graham was one man, Luis Palau was one man and Sean Feucht is one man and revival has followed them because of their unquenchable desire to see the loss come to Christ and to see those who were bound, set free.


“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, And signs in the earth beneath; Blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before that great and notable Day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

It has already been declared in God’s word that this day is coming and I declare to you that it is here now. Signs, wonders and miracles cause people to flock to see what’s going on just like people would flock to a big fire to see what’s burning, people will also flock to see the move of God and revival is birthed as God is at the center of what’s going on.


Peter, an unlearned fisherman was used by God to start the early church.


“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”

Today, God has his people going beyond the walls of a church to reach those who might not come to a church to meet Jesus. Will you say, here I am Lord, use me? Every day when we look in the mirror, we are looking at vessels that God desires to use for revival. Let him.


Prayer: Father God, we want what you want. God help us to be movers and shakers for the kingdom of God. Quicken us by your spirit as we mediate on your word. Help us to be sensitive and obedient to your Holy Spirit, help us to live a blameless, consecrated life before you and shower us with your love and compassion for the lost and for all who are in bondage. 


God we yield to your ways and your will, you use us to share the truth so the captives are set free. God we humble ourselves before you, have your way in our lives that this world will be radically transformed and set free and we take all limitations off of you and we yield with expectancy in Jesus matchless and mighty name Amen.

Forgiveness

 Forgiveness is a word that we can have much discussion on these days. We live in a world where complete strangers have been known to fuss and cuss people out, over a parking space or someone passing them or getting in front of them on the highway.
